October

Well we stayed busy in October... Being sick, Mik's 8th birthday, Halloween party's and more.

Since I haven't been that good at updating I will try and make this easy!
Football

Well Mik has finished his football season. It was a lot of fun but also a lot more time consuming then you would think for a second grader but he enjoys it so much and has such an amazing talent for football and really any sport he just has a love for sports. Mik's coaches set up a game with a team from another league at the end of the season for some fun.... we had gone the whole season without having to play in the rain or mud but what else would happen it poured the boys loved every minute of the game getting all muddy and being aloud to jump in mud puddles. It was not fun to clean up in fact his shirt he had on underneath was so bad it got thrown away! What a great way to end the season!
What a mess!

Those socks were white!

NEXT....

The piggy flu....

yes the swine flu, H1N1 what ever you wish to call it hit our home along with strep & bronchitis all in one week, and that week just happened to be the week of Mik's Birthday poor kid after a fun dinner at his favorite steak house with mom and dad, he woke up coughing so bad he was throwing up so we took him to the ER, they gave him a breathing treatment and some liquid lortab and he came home feeling pretty good, and was ready for school the next morning. Doctor said he was ok to go since it is not contagious, this kid loves school!
As for the swine flu it wasn't so bad just fevers in our house with the girls no vomit which always makes it nice. Kinzie tested positive for it along with strep and Halli got sick a few days later and the Doctor said she more than likely had it to but never tested her. When the ER called to tell us Kinzie had tested positive she said don't tell anyone they will freak out it really isn't a big deal, I had to laugh. Although we didn't have a bad case a lot of our friends and neighbors have had it pretty bad, Mik's buddy Baylor has missed over a week of school and had a lot more symptoms then the girls his poor family hasn't left the house for awhile and they all got it. Yuck!! Me and Scott have been lucky ( knock on wood) We have not been sick at all!
So yes my little Mik is 8 Years old I can't believe 8 years has passed me by, it is so sad! I will post all about him turning 8, his party and his baptism that is this Saturday later.

Halloween

This Halloween we had a football player and 2 little cheerleaders to cheer him on. The girls looked so cute I let them wear their costumes everywhere, they even wore it the Sunday after to my moms house... so cute I wish they could wear it everyday. As for Mik he is not really in to Halloween and would be a football player every year. I guess that makes it easy for me!
Carving pumpkins On Halloween!
It was the only time Scott was home so the kids wanted to Waite so he would be there! It made things a bit rushed since Scott didn't get home till 2 in the afternoon from school.
But we got R' done, as Scott would say!

Here is the finished product, it was so weird they all drew their own faces on the pumpkin with no help! Sad I am not needed anymore!

Here is our ginormous pumpkin we grew this year!

Waiting around to go Trick- Or- Treating
Still waiting, can we go yet mom?

Exhausted and enjoying the loot!
YUMMMMY!
Mik's Reflections Project
Of course it has to do with Football, what else would this kid come up with. Well this reflections project is actually a competition in the school and his teacher made it mandatory that they all participate. You have to pick a category, Art, Photography, Fine art, or music. You have to present one of those topics, Mik chose photography. Then you have to pick something to go along with the theme... This years theme is, Beauty is.... and then you decide. This is what Mik chose... Beauty is football!! I know right so then he has to write why..
this is what he wrote...
Beauty is football. Football is one of Americas favorite pass times.
A hard hit a long pass Beautiful!
Well lets hope he wins we all know how competitive he is!
Oh yeah, he had to take the picture so I sent him in the back yard for a while with our little point and shoot and this is the one he decided on using ( no photoshop). Pretty good don't you think?
And he had to name the project he said Old Glory I wasn't going to let him because I didn't know if someone would be offended since that is what we call the American Flag but Scott thought I was over reacting So the name stuck!
OLD GLORY
