Strawberry Days

OK a quick post on this....
(Wow a picture of me on the blog, that's a shock! You may applaud!)

Every year we have to make it to the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days Rodeo so we headed out I all big and round didn't know how long I could sit in the bleachers but it wasn't to bad, and of course was fun. My sister Megan joined us along with my friend Amber and her husband and little girl. Normally I love to dress the kids up for this and take a ton of pictures but not this year plus they are getting older and don't love the camera in their face all night, so here are some pictures....
My cute little Mik not so little anymore!
The girls sharing my sisters Jacket
Kinzie & Halli getting ready to go they were roping the stairs.

And this was my view looking down...... Scary One month to go!

Arti'st

The other day I came down stairs from working and I found this I thought it was Mik but it was the girls, I was amazed They each drew a giraffe and a tree. Wow they are getting so big!
I know I say that all the time but it was just one of those things that made me stop and think how old they really are, since i like to think of them as 4. Please stop growing!

A New Favorite Thing!

Words can not define how nice this is!

"8" was the magic number, and he is certainly 8. So here is his new chore and we were more then happy to give up the chore so he could enjoy it for the next 10 or so years!
Enjoy Mik!

March, April, May....wheeew!

Teeth 1 & 2
Kinzie finally caught up with her sister and lost her 1st tooth then past her up a few days later, and lost her second tooth, and unlike her sister she did not swallow the first one. Kinzie couldn't be happier to be a toothless girl she thinks it is great!
School Lunch
This is Halli having her first run eating in the school cafeteria, she thought it was great ! Lets see if she thinks that next year when she has to eat there everyday!
Here is Kinzie with her on her first run,she also liked it,but didn't bother to eat her lunch so we will see.
Soccer
This is Mik with his spring soccer team he loved every minute of it. He had to play in another city since we don't have spring soccer and he can't play fall soccer with football going on. But we don't want him to throw that talent away he is amazing at both sports, I think his total goals for the season were around 30 amazing goals and even 2 off of the head! It is so fun to watch him gain knowledge about the sport year by year and he puts his full heart into every sport he plays! We are still working on the sore loser that he can be when he loses, someday right!
Avocados
This is a new favorite snack at our house with the girls, kinda weird and fattening but still healthy. They never seem to last in our house any more.
Easter
Easter was great still a little chilly around here but was nice.
Mik doesn't like to sit and pose so he is absent.
Now the girls, they were happy to do a little photo shoot.

Kinzie

Halli
(Aren't the shoes so cute!)

Field Day

Mik won his event the 400m run, I was so happy and since he won, no melt down just smiles!

Kinzie won 2nd in her 400m relay & Halli won 1st in her 100m run,, they were just excited to get a ribbon I think that is all they cared about they wore them on there shirts for the next couple of days because they were so excited about them, silly girls. It was so fun to see them race and to participate I think they are ready to try soccer again they have been asking but after the last time when they wouldn't even go out there we made them skip it this year, but it looks like they are ready to join a team!
The Big graduation (sniff)
Here are the girls with there teacher Mrs. Lemmon She was the best teacher ever, so sad that she is not returning , a lot of moms & kids will be missing out but we are happy that she will be home with her new baby!
Here is Kinzie and Halli below in there cap & gown they were so excited to have there graduation and it was fun to see them graduating I can't believe they will be in 1st grade it has been a little sad for me to watch them this year as they accomplished so many mile markers in their lives like counting past 100, learning to tell time, and learning to read, I am so proud of them but it is hard to see them grow up with each new skill. Good job baby girls!

Had to show this clip it was so exciting for them to win there first tug a war!

Now as for me and Scott (Boring I know) we have been busy getting ready for this baby, and Scott finished up the Academy again and now is re certified and willing to work for any department that he can get a job at. tt has been so frustrating going to a ton of interviews and not getting a job. most departments are getting about 300 guys testing and only have 1 position available, so in the state that I am in, emotions have been running high, lots of tears. We had hoped for a new job before the baby arrived so please all cross your fingers.
The baby, yes, as of yesterday I was 33 weeks and still no bed rest, I know it is a miracle 1st time! Still going strong, but it worries me now that I just might have to go all 40 weeks with this one, when the longest I have had to be prego is 35 1/2 weeks, don't get me wrong it is a blessing that all is well, but not sure about being 40 weeks in July. I was teasing my Doctor the other day that the baby was going to 12lbs, he laughed and said it wasn't going to be. So turn your guesses in now!
Still no name for the little man, we just call him Mr. Mosbey, for all you Disney Channel fans yes that is from suite Life Of Zach and Cody!
Till next time and who knows when that will be!Hopefully Soon!

6, Yes 6

SIX

I know I can't believe it but my babies are 6. It went so fast, I still think of them as 4 and I tell they are 4 all the time but they just aren't having it! They want to be big they wish they were 12 or older but mostly 12 because that is when I said they could have a cell phone so for now they wish they were 12. I wish they would stop growing, as a mom a lot of times you wish for moments to pass, certain stages and things like that but you also want time to stand still, so you can live those special moments over and over. When I think about everything that we went through to get them here and all the scary moments it brings tears to my eye's that they are here and they are mine. And they are me in every way, don't tell Scott I admitted to this but they are just as stubborn and hard headed and independent as I was. I always tell him they must have got it from his family but who am I kidding just ask my mom, she wouldn't even bat an eye before she would say yup! and since we are all so alike it makes for some butting of heads but I love them with all my heart!

Kinzie

The older sister by 48 whole seconds born at 5:55pm February 17th, 2004.
Kinzie is sweet but most likely will tell you "NO" if you ask her to do something, she never wants to go first and if she does it always shocks me. Kinzie loves to be with Halli, and would never try anything new unless Halli tries first, and if Halli likes it she will then attempt. Kinzie is very shy which surprises me, all though I was shy. But as a twin people/ str angers all always talking to them ans when they were little touching them which was a bit weird! I always thought this would make them very outgoing but it has made her more cautious. But she does love everyone, she has a big heart and always wants to think that everyone is apart of our family, so according to her we have a lot more then 5 people in our family... thank goodness I don't have to feed all those people! Some things Kinzie likes are... Music that is why they got an Ipod for there Birthday! She loves gymnastics and is so good at it, my girls are strong, such a Farnsworth trait( Scott was scrawny)this girl climbs on everything and can make it to the top of anything. And of course she loves all things girly but still loves to play in dirt, skateboard, and play cars.

Halli

Halli the baby of the family( till July) born at 5:56pm February 17th,2004.
Even though Halli followed in birth she has been the leader ever since, she is the "boss" Kinzie use to be OK with this but I think it is wearing on her.Halli also very sweet and in most cases if you ask her to do something she will say "YES' in this cute chipper voice but we do all have our bad days or moments more like it in this house. Halli is so full of life she likes to be busy like her mom and a day is never finished without a dessert, that is her rule. She is always asking what is for dessert? I never fix dessert so I always say go find something, which is usually a granola bar or vanilla ice cream for this one.Halli also loves everyone and never wants to leave anyone out. Things Halli loves of course Music she can memorize any song she always wants the radio on and it can never be loud enough! She loves to sing the primary songs another reason we opted for the IPOD we were all getting sick of the Primary songs for 2010!( Love them but 24/7, is too much!)Halli to loves Gymnastics and is a crazy woman when it comes to her cart wheels and round offs she does them so fast she usually has to do 2 at a time because she can't slow down. Halli loves to play any kind of pretend play and can find those 2 playing pretend with 2 sticks(the sticks being people)and just having a grand old time.Halli to loves all girl things but don't mistake her for a little sissy she can play with the big boys too... and still loves bugs!

The big Party

The girls wanted a tea party for there birthday party this year, so we threw a shabby tea party it was so fun oh and I could have done so much more but we did have a budget, dang! I couldn't find the tea sets I wanted so I ordered these espresso cups which worked great except they had red and no pink but we made do.

We got all the girls a feather boa and some pearl necklaces and rings. We had little tea sandwiches with our tea( apple juice) we drank it with or pinkies up and had little fruit kabobs and little doughnuts and tiny little cookies, so fun. I also made the girls pink tutu's to wear on there special day, I wanted to make them for all the girls but time and money weren't there, it would have been so cute! We had a pinata( not very tea partyish but that's what the girls wanted. And wow some can swing I almost lost a vital girl part on the front of me if you know what I mean, it was numb for a while!Haha it was funny I just laughed.

Tea cups

The ugly cupcakes

Tea sandwiches

Goodies

Fruit kabobs

Purses we made all the girls

Oh we had lots of fun and my baby sis was there to help since Scott was at School all day plus the girls love her and would have invited her anyway she is always up for a little girl party. She helped me paint all the girls nails! Thanks Megan!

And this picture of the girls and their Aunt Megan so precious I will keep it forever!
Happy 4th I mean 6th birthday girls we love you!

Gone Forever!

My sweet little Halli lost her first tooth a few weeks ago. We were all so happy because she would not pull it out and when it got really loose she wouldn't use her tongue really to talk so she sounded really silly. Well as she was eating a doughnut hole in the back yard she noticed her tooth was missing. Guess what she ate it. Yes it is true, she was so sad that she was not able to put it under her pillow for the tooth Fairy, but We wrote a note and the tooth fairy was understanding and still left her a great reward for that shiny white tooth! Thank you Tooth Fairy!

January & a drum roll please!

Well Not much went on in January I will just do a quick post.
Since Mik turned 8 in October and our war split he has never been able to go to Scouts finally in January he was able to try out his new scout shirt and go, he was so excited and loves going every Friday, which I think is a terrible day to have it but o'well.
Later that month he was able to earn his bob cat and he is just chugging along. that book is his new best friend and my enemy he always is asking me to do projects, and frankly I am getting worn out, so I make him choose the easy ones. Wow I can't believe I am old enough to have a boy scout!

And now for the girls. This is their first snowman that they have built all by their selves they were so proud. It was so cute to see them laughing and rolling the balls of snow around the yard trying to get them bigger and bigger, I think they did a good job, I watched from the window from the nice heated house!

On January 27th me and Scott were married 9 years ago, WOW I can't believe it has been that long, it seems like it was just yesterday. There has been good years and bad years and really good and really bad but we have stuck it out together and we are best of friends and he is such a great dad and I love him for that. I feel me and Scott have gone through more challenges then a lot of other couples so hopefully that will earn us some brownie points when we get to heaven. In all we have the most beautiful kids and are expecting another in July! ( Like how I stuck that in there?)We are so excited and the kids are totally elated. We thought are family was complete 6 years ago when are little girls were born but last year I got the feeling we should have one more and I tried to ignore it because I wasn't ready to listen. It got stronger and stronger so I talked to Scott He said no way! But I think the spirit got to him too, and after a few months we both agreed. I will be 18 weeks tomorrow and couldn't have been more excited to find out that we are having a little boy to complete our family. We found out on Monday just what we wanted, of course we would take anything we were given but we did have a preference. Well I have nothing baby anymore so I need to get busy buying all that baby stuff again. I did buy a crib, one thing down, many more to go.
(Isn't he cute!)
P.S.- Mik Thinks that Iam old to have a baby, I guess 28 is just really old to the little guy, but guess what I will get older!
And this is what we sent out in the mail to tell our family!

Ending of 2009

Well I hope you all had a great Christmas, I know we did!
I can't believe I am just getting around to blogging this I am so ashamed of myself.
The Game
Well we started off the month with Scott going to Seattle to see the 49ers and the Seattle sea hawks play his friend had been given tickets so a car load of them drove up for the weekend and were to come home on Sunday but because of weather didn't get home till Monday, and as soon as Scott walked in the door he took a shower and left to School with no time to spare. I was not happy about being a single mom all weekend but was glad he got to go have fun! He was sad though the 49ers lost, And he froze his butt off!
The Tree
I always like to post about our Christmas tree and boy was that eventful this year. Scott talked me in to getting a real tree this year and once we got it home I was really excited it was so pretty and smelt better then it looked. So a few days after we got it I started to think that it was feeling a little crispy but Scott insisted that it was fine and I was just being paranoid so he left on his trip and I swore it was getting crispy everyday and i kept seeing these little spiders on it. so the day Scott got home the tree was totally dead I told the kids not to turn the lights on in fear that it might start a fire. I showed it to Scott and he was not happy so the next day he went to the tree lot to talk to them, I thought there was no way in heck this redneck was going to replace the tree but to my quick judgement he was very kind and was so sorry and told us to pick one out. Seems it did have a bug, but first we had to take all the lights and ornaments off what a pain, needles were everywhere not to mention when we were done the tree completely fell over and needles went flying everywhere, so much to my dismay we got another tree and put those stinkin lights back up and it looked just perfect and lasted till we took it down in the New year! Wahoo!
Christmas Eve
For Christmas eve we had my mom, Dad, Sister Megan and her husband Mike over for some snacking and company we had a lot of fun and laughed a lot! The kids just really wanted to go to bed so once they all left into bed and they even went right to sleep I was shocked. until Mik woke up at 2 and said he just couldn't sleep anymore. No we did not let that happen are you crazy, we said come back at 7 we woke up around 6:30 made the beds and I could her Mik 12 more minutes and counting down as the minutes past. it wasn't quite 7 and we said ok and he said you said not till 7. So I guess he got lucky!
Well Santa must have dumped his sled in our family room the kids made out pretty good each got a DS from the old guy along with a lot more, but Mik's favorite was the Steve young football trading cars he got he screamed and ran around the house Wow I bet Santa wishes he would have known that would be the case before he spent all the money on a DS.(8 Steve Young Cards $3 bucks DS A lot of bucks $$$!)Well it was fun to see them all so happy. The girls favorite gift black high heels! Enough said, for these shoe lovers!

Sledding Ending in Tragedy

Our Friends the Manning's invited us to go sledding up in American Fork Canyon the day after Christmas. It was a lot of fun my favorite is when Scott and Morgan got on a sled and went down together, they had a rough start but they made it down.

The girls started to get cold so we decided to head out Scott moved the car closer and Halli was there waiting to get in the car Scott pulled in and Halli walked toward the car but Scott was not finished pulling in and the back tire went right over her foot. So that was the longest ride down the canyon i have ever been on with a 5 year old crying Scott thinking he is the worst dad and me crying and thinking we are so lucky it was just her foot. when we finally got to the ER I looked at it and thought maybe it isn't so bad the Doctor thought it would be fine he actually said it happens all the time and usually there is no brake feet are pretty resilient. Well there was a brake. but no cast the podiatrist thought it would heel to fast to mess with a cast and they had no boot her size so they said stay off it for a few days and when she starts to walk put that snow boot on for support. So for awhile we had a little 5 year old that crawled everywhere. Poor thing but she was very brave.

Farnsworth Party

My Mom is trying to do a party every year for my dads side of the family a week after Christmas, which worked out so much better. This year she rented a lodge and we went sledding and mingled and ate, it was so much fun the kids went sledding all day even at night in the dark i am glad it was a warm day or it would have been freezing at night. Good times were had by all but of course it was a Farnsworth party what else would you expect?

Happy New Year

It is a new year? Wow 2009 went so fast time is flying bye so fast! I hope I can take more in this year. I wounder what the New year has in store for us? I hope Scott Finds a new job this year quickly after graduation in April! Wahoo!
